With a loyal client base and a strong reputation as an independent, family-run business, it was important for our creative team to evoke this in the branding and website. We advised introducing a tagline ‘Stamford’s independent estate agent’ to showcase their USP as property specialists in the town and surrounding villages. We modernised the logo using a monochrome base colour and emphasised ‘Wallis’ following the departure of one of the founders.
Once the directors were happy with the brand evolution, this was rolled out to new shop signage, for-sale boards, and new-look business cards.
Our digital design team suggested a secondary colour palette for their new website to encourage a seamless user journey. We used warm, soft, and friendly colours to signpost Sowden Wallis’ property services. This was paired with an oval shape to evoke a sense of ‘looking in’ - like looking through the keyhole, to reflect their personalised service and the importance of getting to know every client.
Alongside images of the town and local area, we recommended a local photographer to capture images of the Sowden Wallis team. Much of their reputation is built around Tom and the team of property experts, so it was important to harness this on the website.
As part of the site build we integrated Verbra, a system used by estate agents to manage their property listings. Using the Verbra api we pull all the information that is needed for the property information to display on the website. The information is then styled to the layout we have designed. This integration means the Sowden Wallis team only have to manage their properties from one system.
Once the website was live, we worked on a social content strategy and supported their ongoing content marketing on Facebook and Instagram.
All the information on the property page is sourced from the Sowden Wallis Verbra API. Our goal in designing this page was to ensure that finding relevant information is quick and effortless. Additionally, we aimed to create a straightforward and transparent process for interested parties to enquire about each property.
