Abingdon and Witney College

An award-winning college with a focus on providing a career-ready experience for its students. Accredited with ‘outstanding’ apprenticeships in their most recent Ofsted and recognised at a national level for the quality of their courses and teaching.

Abingdon and Witney reached out to us over 10 years ago after they had undertaken a rebrand. We were initially tasked with designing a suite of prospectuses for their full-time, part-time and undergraduate courses. Since then, we have designed stand-out annual prospectuses, created campaigns and designed their new website in Craft SMS.

After building a trusted working relationship with the college, we have become an extension of their team and enjoy creating fresh new ideas. Abingdon and Witney are a forward-thinking college that is always looking to lead the way with their marketing, giving us the scope to do what we do best and push the creative boundaries.

We built their fully customisable site in Craft CMS with an intuitive control panel for easy content and layout updates. We developed bespoke page builders that offered flexibility to the team at Abingdon & Witney to create complex layouts easily, within the admin interface. Integration with the course database runs automatically daily and can be manually triggered by staff at the college should they require it.

Creating a seamless user journey was central to this project – with a simplified menu structure and clear navigation guiding current and prospective students to the right landing page. We developed a wish list functionality for prospective students to easily find their preferred courses when returning to the site, before making their final selection.

The benefits of working with Dsquared meant that from concept to completion, it wasn’t client and supplier, it was a true partnership. Their expertise and design knowledge were fundamental to our website’s success from the initial consultations to the wireframes and the build. Dsquared not only built us a website we wanted but also the one we needed. More importantly, they gave us the tools, to be able to build our own pages that looked as good and worked as well as their originals.
